Union National Bank Empowers High School Students To Make Informed Financial Decisions Through Innovative Web-Based Program
Union National Bank, Sparta’s only locally owned, independent bank, has partnered with EverFiTM—Financial Literacy to bring financial literacy education to high school students in the Sparta School District. This web-based program uses the latest technology to bring complex financial concepts to life for today’s digital generation. Through this platform, students will learn about different topics in personal finance, including—credit scores, insurance, credit cards, student loans, mortgages, taxes, stocks, savings, and 401k’s; allowing them to become more informed, responsible citizens. The platform uniquely tracks the progress and score of every student and provides students who successfully complete the course with Certification in Financial Literacy, a valuable mark of distinction on college applications and resumes.
“We are happy to provide this program to these high school students at no cost to the school. Financial literacy is very important and will have a life long effect on the students”, Randy Jarvis, President, Union National Bank.
“On behalf of our students, I would like to thank Union National Bank for their generosity of funding this program for our students. The Ever-Fi program is an excellent resource for the students to make a relevant connection to the important financial concepts taught in Personal Finance. It offers a fun way to connect the curriculum to the ‘real world’ situations the students will face in their financial future”, Julie Beyer, Business Education Instructor at Sparta High School.

We embrace The Giving Tree as a wonderful way to promote the season of giving in a very meaningful and concrete way.
Annual Identity Theft Education

We provide informational brochures and booklets about identity theft to those who are interested.
